Thames Valley Bedford VAM Duple Northern Railair C418 The long standing Reading - Heathrow Railair service was started by Thames Valley with a fleet of Duple (Northern) Viceroy bodied Bedford VAM coaches C417-420 (LJB417E to LJB420E). The coaches were unusual in the then Thames Valley fleet as they sported South Midland livery but bore Thames Valley fleetnames. Bedford C418 is seen near Langley on the M4 heading for Reading.

Thames Valley Bristol RELH6G Duple Commander Railair C424
By the time the picture above was taken, the four Bedfords were in reserve for Heathrow duties, distinctive Duple Commander bodied Bristol RELH6G had taken their place. Bristol C424 (RJB424F) is seen at Heathrow with old fashioned BEA Routemasters in attendance.
