The Bus Preservation Society of WA has found a good home at Whiteman Park in the west of the city of Perth. The Park is also blessed with a Class W Melbourne tram which, amongst other sites, shuttles visitors to the bus workshops from the Park centre. The tram is part of the collection of PETS, the Perth Elctric Tramway Society and pictures of some of their trams are included in these pages. Please check the BPSWA website prior to visiting as the collection is not normally open for visitors. These images are from an arranged visit in October 2018. Former Transperth buses are in their mini gallery, but buses preserved in MTT colours are to be found here.

The climate is well suited for some exhbits to be displayed outside, the biggest problem being the paint fading. Luckily green is not as susceptible as other colours, especially red. So this Bolton bodied Guy Arab III FD looks resplendent in the sunshine but its restoration is far from complete. The bus was new in late 1951 to the Western Australian Government Tramways as 110, later becoming Perth MTT 334 (UQB334).

BPSWA has several MTT Leyland Worldmasters. This Bolton bodied one, 412 (UQB412), dates from 1960 and is being restored after being converted to a motorhome at one stage after its working career.

Next to the Guy was another former motorhome. It is one of two rare Howard Porter bodied Daimler Freelines owned which were new to the Western Australian Government Tramways. This was once 143 (UAN124), later becoming MTT 295 (UQB295).

Here is the other Freeline bearing Western Australian Government Tramways livery and its original identity as their 147 (UAN134). With MTT it was 299 (UQB299) and saw a subsequent life as a mobile kitchen and then a racing car transporter.

This is former 1966 Bolton bodied Leyland Tiger Cub PSUC1/13 663 (UQB663), later Transperth 1663. The bus was sold for use as a motorhome, so a lot of work on the interior is needed as well as restoring windows on both sides which were panelled over. Alongside, in lemon yellow is thought to be another Bolton bodied bus, AEC Regal IV 208 (UQB208), which was new in 1954 to the Fremantle Municipal Transport Board as their 34.
