Before it was flooded with minibuses the old Exeter City fleet was absorbed into Devon General, with 1961 Massey bodied Leyland Titan PD2A 276 (476CFJ), formerly 76, seen at work in the seventies. Its livery genuinely matches that of VR 584.

Similarly styled was an early ECW bodied Bristol VRTSL6G 549 (VOD549K) on route to Torquay delivered before poppy red took over.

Seen in storage in the Thames Valley & Great Western Omnibus Trust collection in the south west in July 2022 was preserved ECW bodied Leyland Olympian 1814 (A686KDV).
