A double take on this one. PMC bodied Mercedes O405 3246 (MO3246), in the new livery, is most definitely in Sydney, not Newcastle. The fleet details on the side are for Newcastle Buses and the flags are for Sydney's 2007 New Year's Eve. Sydney's fleet of Citaro style Mercedes O405NH gas buses were in disgrace with apparent wear on their overloaded front axles. The entire fleet was off the road and spare buses had been drafted in from Newcastle to help maintain Sydney's services. Merc 3246 was one of the newer buses sent to help out. Luckily the problem was discovered during the school summer holidays so spare buses were available in both cities.

Bereft of any suitable blinds, elderly PMC bodied Mercedes O305 2917 (MO2917) was seen on the Central Station stand in Sydney helping out on the 378.

Mercedes O305 2921 (MO2921) was seen laying over at Circular Quay with a big makeshift laminated sign in the front screen.

Sister vehicle 2922 (MO2922) at the same location had a temporary destination board for Watson's Bay.

You would need good vision to see the "Circular Quay" destination on the sign in the window of 2949 (MO2949), even if it is repeated twice.
