Yesterday the Bus and Coach Society of Victoria organised a well patronised visit to two Dineen Group fleets in the Yarra Valley. First was Martyrs in Warburton, one of the most picturesque bus depots imagineable. Here one of the older fleet members returns off service to the depot for a break, 24 (0024AO), a 2007 Express bodied Volvo B12BLE. Behind are the trees, mountains and the Yarra River. Behind the depot is a tree clad hillside. The group went on to McKenzies in the popular valley town of Healesville to be greeted by a huge fleet of Irixar i6 Mercedes. Transport was provided by Driver Bus Lines from Melbourne in a Denning coach with McKenzies supplying a coach from the Lilydale railhead. The party were appreciative of the hospitality provided at both depots and enjoyed trips on Martyrs hybrid Scania and an old Volvo B10M and in McKenzies newest Volgren bus, stalwart Custom CB60 Evo II Mercedes, their one and only Iveco coach and a Mills-Tui Majestic Mercedes.
