This is the newest and smallest bus in the fleet of Melbourne Premier Buslines, a fleet of around a dozen buses and coaches based in Mill Park in Melbourne's north. Around half the fleet are ex Transperth bug eyed Volgren CR225L bodied Mercedes O405NH around 24 years old and used on rail replacemnent work, like so many others in the city. There are around five full size secondhand coaches, the newest of which is around fifteen years old. The Mercedes Sprinter, BS02VI seats sixteen and dates from 2017. It is seen in Wednesday parked in the Mill Park area. The attraction of the picture is where it is parked. The street is named STAGECOACH Boulevard! Whilst Stagecoach and Brian Souter had a big operation in New Zealand, its operations in Australia were small and of relatively short duration, plus they were based in Queensland, many kilometres from Melbourne. The late Harry Blundred, who pioneered urban minibus operations in the UK in places like Exeter, Oxford and Portsmouth retired to Australia and took over operations in Cairns and further south introducing minibuses and traded as Sunbus. Stagecoach acquired those operations when it took over Harry's UK company.
