The new Stagecoach livery undermined the dramatic orange route branding for the Blackbird Leys services and more discreet markings appeared on vehicles as they were repainted or newly entered service, as in the case of the group of MAN buses delivered in October 2001. MAN 943 (OU51WLL) is seen at the Carfax in the city centre. The new livery and branding also seemed to pose a problem for positioning of the fleet number, even before it became five digits! |
MAN 915 (S915CFC) newly painted in Stagecoach's new livery and in use on the Blackbird Leys "orange" service. However this bus had been kept unbranded for use across the network. Unlike other operators, Stagecoach Oxford does seem quite good at keeping route branded buses on their specified routes. Muscling in on the shot is Guide Friday Leyland Atlantean. |
This side shot of a Blackbird Leys MAN at the Carfax shows how the more discreet branding is applied to the new livery.
