Oxford rolled out this version of its livery on its new batch of Citaros for the Abingdon service. Volvo B10B 606 (N606FJO) had also gained the same colours by the end of 2004, but it took a few years before the livery was adopted fleet wide on older vehicles.
When the Wright bodied Volvo B10BLE buses were branded for the 15 and given the new colours, the image was applied to vehicles more readily: 819 (W819FBW) is seen laying over just off St Aldates in June 2006.
Even 401 (R401FFC), one of the few remaining Wright Cadet bodied Dennis Darts in the fleet, was sporting the red look in May 2008, even though it had only a short time left in Oxford.
Similarly stalwart 639 (P639FFC) was still hard at work in the new livery in May 2008 heading out to Risinghurst on the 9.
Meanwhile the Wright bodied Volvos continued at work on city services, including 820 (W20FWL), looking a little careworn in its 15 branded livery by May 2008.
