With the Daimler plant in Coventry the Fleetline reigned supreme, this is a smart East Lancs bodied example in Pool Meadow, 85 ((YHP485J).

No less than six Fleetlines and a CVG6 can be seen in this late seventies Pool Meadow shot. Departing on route 13 is East Lancs bodied 47 (KKV47G). Alongside on the left on route 7 is one of the first batch of Fleetline deliveries, Willowbrook bodied 360-381 (CRW360-381C), which controversly followed a batch of similarly bodied Leyland Atlanteans, 338-359 (CDU338-359B): failure to support the local manufacturer caused ructions in the Council chambers. On the far right si one of the East Lancs 1966 delivery.

The magnificent Tudor Rose Inn forms the backdrop to this pair of Fleetlines. On the left is 71 (SWK71J) from th eone batch bodied by Park Royal in 1970, 59-76. It is passing one of the buses from the next year's batch which reverted to East Lancs: 77-94 (YHP477-494J).

The final pair sum up the Coventry CVG6/Fleetline saga with ECW bodied 32 (KWK32F) - repainted from the livery seen earlier on 29 - and spritely looking 282 (XVC282) of 1959.
