Western Welsh Leyland National N374
One of Western Welsh's first Leyland Nationals, N374 (GHB789N). Delivered as such in 1974, it was not until 1978 that the company was merged with Red & White to form National Welsh, but the comany adopted the Red & White numbering scheme after it lost its Bridgend operations to South Wales and acquired contol of Rhondda, all part of NBC's initial tinkering with its inherited BET and Tilling fleets..

Western Welsh Leyland Atlantean Weymann 326
Western Welsh's livery was probably one of the few to be improved when NBC poppy red took over. This 1960 Weymann bodied lowbridge Leyland Atlantean, 326 (VKG326), looks even more drab than usual in falling snow and with half of its emblem missing on the front dash panel.

Western Welsh Leyland Tiger Cub Park Royal 1367 & South Wales Bristol LS6B ECW 354
In better conditions 1367 (FUH367C) passes a lopsided Bristol LS6B of South Wales, 354 (MCY43). The LS was originally United Welsh 1271. The Western Welsh Leyland Tiger Cub has an unusual body make for the chassis, namely Park Royal.

Western Welsh Leyland Atlantean Northern Counties
Seen in Cardiff Bus Station, in sharp contrast to the Atlantean above is a Northern Counties bodied lowheight Atlatean PDR1/3, one of a batch of ten (367-376) delivered in 1969. This one has been renumbered in the LR__69 range.
