More than one Welsh bus at SHOWBUS is unusual, but the Stratford-upon-Avon location in 2013 brought a fair contingent across Offa's Dyke, including Western Welsh's AEC Reliance 1284. It is sandwiched between a National Welsh Leyland National 2 NS492 (BUH240V) and South Wales Weymann Fanfare bodied Reliance 1032 (NCY626). Next in line is Rhymney Valley East Lancs bodied Leyland Leopard PSU4 87 (PWO87Y) followed by similar Marshall bodied 34 (DNY534V) of Islwyn and finally Newport Enviro400 404 (SN62AOX). One of the last vehicles operating in former Colchester colours was this National Greenway, once an ordinary Leyland National in the Western Welsh fleet as ND1876 (NWO463R). |
Prior to arrival in Colchester, NWO463R was with Guildford & West Surrey. It is seen in Buckingham Palace Road, Victoria on route 415. The route had replaced a former Green Line run to Surrey. |
