Whilst the classic trams of the late twenties and thirties are seen as a tourist attraction akin to the London Routemaster or the San Francisco cable cars the Stanga-TIBB cars of the fifties were still going strong, and unsung, when over sixty years old. Car 4601 was the first of thirteen which entered service in 1955. The underlined italicised 4600 indicated that the tram is a member of the 4600 series.

Not withstanding its age 4718 was the base for an all over advert. It is from the second and larger batch of twenty "all electric" Stanga/TIBB trams, delivery of which ended in 1960. This batch formed the 4700 series but numbered following on from the 4600 series as 4714-4733.
