 Many operators acquired secondhand Volgren CR225L bodied Mercedes O405NH buses from Transperth primarily for rail replacement work. Unlike others Victorian Touring Coaches made a real effort to personalise its acquisitions and even lettering them as a "Rail Support Vehicle". Seen at temporary stops outside Hamer Hall in January 2019 is former Transperth 1703 (TP1703), now 53 (6253AO), hiding its twenty years well.

 Sister vehicle 55 (6255AO), former Transperth 1701 (TP1701), is seen a few weeks later at the end of January at a temporary terminus at Dandenong Station, unfortunately separated across the tracks from the normal Rail Station entrance and its associated Bus Station and only accessible by the many-steps footbridge.
