Transperth Fremantle CAT Mercedes Volgren CR225L 1180
Fremantle has its own CAT service and has even managed to break away from the standard Transperth colours in a special orange based version of Perth CAT design. Unlike the Perth buses the actual cat emblem was only an outline rather than in solid black. Unsurprisingly Mercedes-Volgrens were used initially but did not have CAT registration plates like their Perth counterparts. The Fremantle CAT was started when the older bug-eyed Volgren CR225L bodied Mercedes O405NH was the order of the day. Here 1180 (TP1180) is seen in April 2003.

Sister vehicle 1178 (TP1178) is seen on the northern coastal section of the route, passing various marinas and boat builders some six years later.

One of the CATs passes the famous and intricate Esplanade Hotel in April 2003. Being Easter time the hotel has a pen of live chicks, baby ducks and rabbits in the foyer.
