For some reason Thames Travel decided they needed 89 seat massive triaxle deckers on the X40 between Oxford and Reading. Certainly the MCV EvoSeti bodied Volvos look imposing and 80094 (BU25ZHT) had some difficulty squeezing in to Wallingford Market Place Last Friday which was especially busy with the Bunkfest event. A parked post van was impossible to get by with traffic queued at the town centre lights in the opposite direction, resulting in the traffic behind the Volvo B8L blocking the junction until the postie finished loading his van from the Post Office! Some X40 journeys were still being worked by bright green Wright bodied Volvos, mostly ex London.
