A flash back to the eighties this week with one of our recently scanned colour slides. This features a Marshall bodied Brstol RESL6G of Greater Manchester Transport, 270 (KJA270F) new in 1968 to the lost and lamented North Western Road Car Company. The rare short RE passed to SELNEC - which later became Greater Manchester Transport - when the company was divided and the spoils shared between the PTE, Crosville and Trent. The picture is also a timely reminder that 2018 sees the 110th anniversary of what became Bristol Commercial Vehicles and the occasion is being marked by a special display of Bristol buses and coaches at this year's SHOWBUS international at Donington Park on September 30th.
