We were devastated to learn of the loss of a classic coach in a fire in Bicester where the coach was stored. Tragically the fire also claimed the lives of two firefighters an another person earlier this week. The coach, former Red & White RC.968 (OAX9F), an ECW bodied Bristol RELH6L, belonged to Jonathan Radley. Jonathan has been a stalwart supporter of SHOWBUS and other enthusiast events so we will all share the loss of this significant preserved coach, a classic sixties motorway coach that spent many years and countless miles linking South Wales to London along the M4. As was often the case Jonathan was an annual early entrant at SHOWBUS, the first entry for 2025 on July 13th at Quainton. Its 5001 provisional rally number has passed to a new entry. The much loved coach is seen here on display at its last SHOWBUS at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre last year.
