welcome to the showbus picture of the week

We make no apology for featuring this unique vehicle again in our Picture of the Week series. Last time was on the 4th September 2011 when the Superior bodied articulated Leyland Tiger coach was depicted with Mt Gravatt Bus Service in Queensland. As predicted the coach became unroadworthy in the state due to its age. No such problem in New South Wales. New owners, Casula Bus & Coach are delighted with their new acquisition and have been getting it ready to take to the road this Monday. The coach has more seats in its forward section than most standard singledeck buses. Four coach seats, in two pairs face each other across the turntable and the back row is for five. This gives the coach a whopping 83 seat capacity, which the new owners expect to be in much demand. The coach joins a fleet which already has several Tigers in use, and another recently acquired from Ventura. There is also an ex-Manchester Leyland Panther, one of three imported and rebodied by Custom. The Casula example is believed to be the last in use. |
We have thousands of pictures to choose from for our Picture of the Week but you are welcome to send in your own. If we do not feature it here, it may appear later in our picture gallery.
Ideally pictures should be 722 pixels wide and no more than 100kB.
