A surprising sight at High Wycombe Railway Station yesterday was the Arriva Kent Thameside Alexander Dennis Enviro400MMC recently painted in Southend Corporation livery to celebarte the centenary of Southend's route 1, 6499 (SN66WHS). It was one of a number of buses drafted in for rail replacement with track work taking place on the line between Bicester and London disrupting services. At Wycombe buses are taking passengers to Amersham to connect with the Chiltern Railway's Aylesbury line to Marylebone. Fortunately the track work will not be taking place on SHOWBUS weekend for those planning to travel via Wycombe and using the extended Carousel 1A service to SHOWBUS.
