 A delight to see at SHOWBUS 2009 was Southern Vectis' vintage Bristol K/ECW 602 (CDL899) of 1939. A treat for all was that it did a few runs on the Duxford Tour giving visitors a chance to cool down on what had been a very hot day. |
 The Isle of Wight is a great holiday destination and the weather has favoured open toppers for many years as this fine pair of vehicles illustrates. Both the Lodekka LD6G (500 - MDL954) and the K%G (703 - DDL50) were on display at the 2001 Southsea Spectacular. |
 In the same livery, and at the same event, is former VRTRSL3 669 (UDL669S). |
At Southampton, for the 2000 Royal Victoria rally, was the open top LD 500, new as 544 in 1956 with its roof firmly attached.

 Southern Vectis' second vintage Bristol K open toppper - 602 - was seen at Southsea in June 2002 - just before the heavens opened! It wears a Southdown inspired open top livery. |
