The coach version of the RE chassis was the RELH, which took to the road before the RELL. This model is quite unique. It was new to Tillings Transport in 1972 as 9441 (VHK177L). Its body style was the later version on the RELH chassis, but, having passed to Eastern National in 1978 it was rebuilt with the prototype B51 body which it now bears in 1981. It subsequently saw service with Badgerline and Northern Bus before being acquired for preservation by Steve Graham in 1998. He has restored it as Eastern National 1404 and it is seen in the sunshine of the Bristol Centennial Display at Showbus in 2008.
