 Maidenhead depot, now a Waitrose supermarket, used to sport a good turnout of Bristol VRTSL6G buses, including several ex Western SMT examples, with their distinctive destination displays. Nearest the camera are native examples: 910 (VMO244H) and 908 (UBL248G) which were briefly 510 and 508, respectively, in the Thames Valley fleet. |

 At Brachnell, VRTSL6G 911 (VMO229H) is seen with Bristol MW6G 256, the last of only 6 MW6G bus style Bristols delivered new to Thames Valley as 857 (VJB948). |

 This VR is seen floodlit on the forecourt of Newbury Bus Station. |

 In contrast this Mark I VR in Wycombe bus Station looks more like it is floodlit from the inside. |

 This Mark I VR seen in the Thorn Walk yard at Reading is still in Tilling red with cream trim. Note the one of the trio of early RELL buses with an incongruous T-style rear destination blind to match the one towering at the front. |
