Still soldiering on on LT contract service 462 on New Year's Eve 1997 in Ilford was this Mercedes L608D in Thamesway's original livery. The bus is believed to carry a Dormobile body, though half the 1986 batch of twenty was bodied by Reeve Burgess. All had fleet number match D2xxPPU regsitrations.

This is one of a batch of 29 Plaxton Pointer Dennis Darts delivered in the new Thamesway 'purple sash' livery, 965 (N965CPU).

Seen together in the First Group display at Showbus 1999 at Duxford are this Thamesway Dart and Leyland Lynx. They both sport the new Essex Buses colour layout of dark yellow and coloured skirt. The skirt being purple for Thamesway, green for Eastern National and red for Eastern Counties.

Now 20119 (N619APU), 619 was new to Thamesway and used on the Southend - London express. The Volvo B10M is seen at SHOWBUS in 2007 as part of the Plaxton Centenary display at the Imperial War Museum, then in the ownership of First Eastern Counties. |
