 In May 2013 the relatively new gave way to the even newer. Seen from the back window of a new hybrid Volvo 7900H is Citaro ES64064 (LK08FMH). Both buses are heading along Slough's Wellington Street bound for Heathrow. The rear of the Volvo had overtones of the B7L with its "cubicle" in the rear nearside corner taking up seating space. There was also an annoying rattle from an overhead panel, made the more so by the lack of engine noise when in pure electric mode. Sometimes you just can't win! |
