Numerically the last of the Nissan Scorpion SLF180 buses delivered to Stagecoach Auckland with Fairfax Industries coachwork in 1998, 1892 (XN7463). The vehicle is low floor as the SLF designation suggests. The grill is a feature not seen on earlier vehicles as shown below.

Built in 1997, Nissan Scorpion SBR180 1864 (WJ9155) is seen in downtown Auckland. It is also lowfloor and carries Fairfax bodywork.

A couple of years earlier, deliveries consisted of SBR180 buses with high floor Fairfax bodies. The difference in the waist band can be seen in this view of 1227 (TP3843) in downtown Auckland. It towers over a low floor MAN/Coachline picking up alongside.

Transferred from Hutt Valley in Wellington was 54 (UP8933). The bus was supplied new to Cityline Hutt Valley and the body was built by Alexanders in Scotland on the Mercedes 709D chassis. The bus is seen Newmarket on a route serving the local hospital. |
