Another bus with London connections is Stratford Blue 529 (G29TGW), a Carlyle bodied Dennis Dart, new to London Buses as DT29. It is seen in Stratford on Avon where it was used on local excursions. It arrived from the defunct Phoenix Student Travel operation in Essex and had appeared at SHOWBUS in Golden Jubilee livery in 2002. This picture was taken in July 2004. |
Another small City Sightseeing bus was this former Ulsterbus Wrights bodied Mercedes 709D, 840 (NXI6840). Clearly the bus has been heavily modified following an arson attack, re-emerging complete with a foldable canvas roof. It was christened "Endeavour", renumbered 5 (CZ1988) and transferred to the associated Flexibus fleet and used on a variety of tourist services from Coleraine and Larne before being sold for use as a feeder bus to the Belfast City Sightseeing service as seen in the city in November 2018. The new owners, Belfast City Sightseeing, have numbered it 7. Besides the obvious open top doubledeckers, they have an opentop ex JMT Leyland Tiger PS1.
