Fully adorned in Oxford Bus Company's "city" livery is Dennis Trident Plaxton President 907. The R7OXF registration neatly disguises that the bus has been transferred from Go-Ahead Northern's operations on Tyneside as 3893 (NK51UCW). After Oxford the bus graduated to serve Western Greyhound as their 443 (WK51CAP). Like all the pictures below on this page it is seen in Oxford in late May 2008. |
Another of the batch, 904 (R4OXF) ex Go-Ahead Northern 3883 (NK51UCL) which also passed to Western Greyhound as their 440 (WK51CAB). In Oxford the buses were been numbered in the 900 series because of their height. Presumably, unlike the native Alexander ALX400 bodied Tridents, they were too high to go under the Botley Road rail bridge near Oxford Station. |
Side by side in St Aldates on the 35 are 906 (R6OXF) and 908 (R8OXF). Trident 906 was Go-Ahead Northern 3892 (NK51UCV) and later Western Greyhound 442 (WK51CAL), but the identity of 908 and its fate have not been traced |
