Volvo 41 (N41RRP) is one of three Alexander Ultra bodied B10Ls delivered in the early days of low floor buses. Somewhat unusually it has been painted into standard FirstGroup colours, a privilege accorded to newer vehicles, whose interiors are in standard First colours too. It may be that 41 had been refurbished internally.

In First livery, a Wright bodied Scania route branded for the 27 for which a fleet of these low floor vehicles was maintained.

Northampton 121 (K121URP), one of the Alexander bodied Volvo Citybuses was displayed at Cobham in April 2001 in the then new First livery for older vehicles, but it was minus the magenta fade.

The award winning East Lancs rebody, 122, appeared at Duxford in 2002 having been treated to a repaint in "Barbie 2" livery. The Manchester standard Atlantean alongside, 6479, had been transferred to the Northampton fleet. |

The Manchester connection continued with the Wright Eclipse bodied Volvo B7L singledecker alongside, 720 (MV02VCZ), having been diverted from Manchester to Northampton. The B7L later returned to Manchester by way of Leicester. The third bus is a Wright bodied Scania L94UB, First Manchester 121 (V121DND). |
