In the late seventies one of Chesterfield's Roe bodied Daimler Fleetlines follows a rare Neepsend bodied Leyland Panther 87 (SRB87F) from a batch of ten. Though the front grill looks a bit home made, it was a standard fitting

Neepsend also bodied a batch of Daimler Roadliners, a rear ending singledecker rated for reliability on a par with the Panther! Ten, 71-80 (ORA71-80E), were delivered shortly before the ten Panthers, one is seen here by the cathedral with its famous skewed spire.

Whether Chesterfield were desperate for large capapcity singledeckers or not, they bought no less than eighteen barely ten year old MCW bodied Panthers, surplus to requirements in Liverpool, from Merseyside PTE in 1977 and 1978. Here a recently acquired example is followed by one of the Roe bodied Fleetlines.
