Cardiff's batch of East Lancs Olympians have had an interesting career. When new a number were painted in Culturebus yellow and blue livery and loaned to Southend for London tours - using drivers on layover from Southend - London commuter services. After service back with Cardiff Bus a number, including 514 (A514VKG), has been decapitated for use on Guide Friday city tours. |
Here Olympian coach seated 554 (B554ATX) is seen in full Culturebus livery at work in London. |

Ex Cardiff Leyland Olympian obviously newly arrived from across the water in summer 2008, has yet to receive a complete set of decals for City Sightseeing work in San Francisco. The bus appears to be the first of Cardiff's batch 501 (LBO501X), but UK plates have a habit of moving around between buses. |
A later Olympian from Cardiff's batch, 514 (A514VKG) is seen approaching the Wharf area earlier that day. It purports to be the bus in Guide Friday livery above.. |
