Alongside Stagecoach East Kent Alexander bodied Olympian 297 (R297HCD) at SHOWBUS international 2001, is seemingly identical United Couties 600 (F110NES). It is in fact one of the three 'Megadekkas' bought in the early days by Stagecoach and put to service with Cumberland. However, 600 found its way to UCOC via East Midlands. The registration links to the fact that the bus seats 110. |
Here United Couties 600 is sandwiched between the East Kent Olympian and an identical machine from Stagecoach South with blinds set for South West Trains rail replacement work. The accompanying buses are East Kent 297 (R297HCD) and Stagecoach South 261 (P261WPN). |
Winner of the prize for the best Stagecoach vehicle at SHOWBUS international 2002 was former London Stagecoach Selkent Titan T1125 (B125WUV) transferred to East Kent in 1997 as their 7285. The bus, newly painted in the latest Stagecoach livery took part in the "Clash of the Titans" display. |
Another Olympian/Alexander at SHOWBUS international 2002 was 371 (N371LPN) which jeas entered with 296, but was in the Golden Jubilee display. |
