Normally rostered for the 425 are Blue Triangle's East Lancs bodied Scania N94UD Omnidekkas. Scania SO2 (BV55UCU) is seen on the same day as PVL66 at the same Milehouse location. With the takeover of Blue Triangle and Docklands Buses, the Scania has been lettered for Docklands. |
Scanias joined the Go-Ahead London fleet from a different source with the takeover of Metrobus. This East Lancs bodied Scania N94UD Omnidekka had been transferred to the private hire fleet in May 2017 and is seen in Buckingham Palace Road, one of many buses being used on the 811 Shuttle to Chelsea Flower Show. The bus retains its simple Metrobus fleet number, 946 (YN56FEG), but left the fleet to join York Pullman, converted to single door, but retaining London red. Picture ref B6372 |
Seen with London General's RM9 (VLT9) at SHOWBUS 2011 is the unique VM1 (BJ11XGZ). The bus is the second MCV bodied doubledecker built on a Volvo B9TL chassis in Egypt. The first did not meet TfL specifications and passed to Rotala for use in Bristol where it lost its roof. It then moved on to City Sightseeing work with RATP making Docklands Buses VM1 unique by still having a roof! The vehicle appeared at SHOWBUS again in 2012. |
