A small batch of Ivecos was bought, but further orders were cancelled. The Iveco here is
trailing one of the surviving 609D original D-registered Mercs which were rebuilt to increase their
seating capacity several years ago.

MK Metro helped Stelios Haji-Ioannou get his easybus concept off the ground. Stelios' original plans were dented by Stagecoach's Megabus response which took to the motorways first. Stelios started with a route from MK to Marylebone and Mercedes Sprinter KE04WBT is seen loading at the roadside stop London terminus in June 2006.
