This Mercedes in the Whitsunday Transit fleet was in standard bus livery! The vinyls provide the dramatic effect of a real seascape. Former State Transit NSW Mercedes O305/PMC Mk II 2503 (MO2503) became Whitsunday's 7 (418FAJ) with a modified front done by dealer Bus Stop and is seen at Shute Harbour. It is about to depart for Cannonvale, the other side of Airlie Beach, and close to the depot and local zoo.
Also seen at Shute Harbour in the same colours, but looking even more striking is one of several low floor Mercedes O405NH with Australian built Bustech coachwork. Bustech is part of the group which also owns Surfside Buslines and Sunbus.
This view is seen as the vehicle sweeps through the Airlie Beach resort area.
With an appropriate backdrop of palm trees, this Bustech loads in Airlie for Cannonvale outside one of the major backpacker bars and residences.
Loading at the same venue for Proserpine Airport is one of a number of Coach Design bodied MAN coaches, but this one differs from the others in deploying a version of the bus 'waves' livery.
