Coastal MO4273 is a 65 seat Autobus bodied Volvo B7R coach bought new in 1998.

On the left is another B7R, MO4351, but this time with an Autobus 61 seat bus body. Alongside is a Custom bodied Hino CG277K, MO2870, also seating 61 as a bus.

The Hino is seen again over the Christmas-New Year period 2007/8 at Wynyard Station in Sydney on rail replacement work.

George Caruana, proprietor of Coastal Liner, was very hospitable and kindly got the Custom bodied Volvo B6FA (MO7707) out to be photographed. The bus came from Port Stephens, ex Deane's North Ryde, and dates from 1981. The Caruana family emigrated to Australia from Malta where they were involved in bus operations on the Mediterranean island. When George first started operations in Australia he deployed a lot of the basic engineering philosophies from Malta with several rebodies and engine transplants. He has a great collection of photos from those early days - and some from Malta too, where his family is still involved with bus operations there too. The registration MO7707 has subsequently been transferred to a new Volvo B12BLE with Bustech "VST" bodywork.
