First of the batch of Scania L94UB buses with Volgren CR224L bodies was 625 (625FRX). It is seen on the Great Circle Line route, 599, at the Bus Station atop the Busway at the Garden City interchange. Note the American style bike rack on the front dash - a feature which did not get adopted on the rest of the models.

As 625 was the first Scania one might puzzle as to why 725 (725GWU) - and not 724 - wears this special livery proclaiming to be the hundredth. Well the folks at Brisbane Transport are a wary lot and thought better than to have a vehicle bearing the mark of the devil. There is no fleet number 666!

A batch of just eight of these extra long (14.5m) triaxle Scania K310UB entered service in April 2009. The bus, L1704, is seen emerging off the busway on the South Bank in August that year. The buses seat 54.

A nearside view of L1704 (494LMH), since renumbered 5004. Note that unlike the L94UBs, these buses have the standard Volgren CR228L front end as seen on the Brisbane Transport's MAN and Mercedes O500LE buses.
