What had become Brisbane's standard, the Volgren CR228L bodied Volvo B7RLE gave way to the same chassis but with the new Optimus body, which had more individual style, its predecessor looking like Wright's bus body for many years, which not only predated the CR228L, but had long sincc been replaced. This March 2016 view of two year old E2107 (XQ45IO) was taken on Edward Street in the CBD.

Front and rear views of the Optimus body in this Adelaide Street view. Certainly the rear is a vast improvement on the mournful looking CR228L rear. With its back to us is 2015 delivery V2168 (017VKW), re-registered XQ62MD in 2020, and making forward progress is E2118 (224TUM), changed to XQ76JP in 2020. Bringing up the rear is CR224L bodied Scania L94UB G654 (654FZR), but with rego 312XXE when withdrawn in 2019.
