Leeds, UK, based body builder Charles H Roe was acquired by Park Royal in 1947 and was ultimately swallowed into the British Leyland empire ending its days building bodies to standard designs. When British Leyland collapsed the Roe plant was taken on by a group of former employees trading as Optare.
