ECW |
||
British bus body manufacturer ECW was born out of operating company United Auto. Based at Lowestoft on the east coast of England the company was nationalised after the second world war, along with chassis manufacturer Bristol. Until partial denationalisation, involving British Leyland the company was restricted to selling to nationalised bus operating companies and therefore worked closely with Bristol developing the lowbridge conquering Bristol Lodekka and the most successful rear engined singledecker.
