This rather faded Dennis Dart Plaxton MPD was ex London Central LDP146 (Y846TGH). The bus was acquired to perform the M1 Watlington-Reading Oxfordshire County contract taken off Motts Travel and is seen on layover in Reading in July 2011. The service is still the M1, a route number assigned by Motts (Motts 1) and was their main Yellow Bus service from Reading via High Wycombe to Aylesbury. Most journeys went between Lane End and Aylesbury using MCW Metrobuses, but typically Leyland Leopards worked through to Reading. When Yellow Bus operations were sold to Arriva, the M1 continued between Stokenchurch and Reading. |
