A surprise first sighting of Oxford's new fleet of new-look Wright Streetdeck Electroliners for city serveices was in Thame in August 2024. The bus, 790 (BN24ZYM) was on a football special and is seen after it had turned round past Thame Town Hall.

The coach, F21NCW, a Plaxton Paragon bodied Dennis R of 2002, is in the colours of Norfolk Coachways.

Back to Thame the following month and Streetdeck 759 (BX74ZND) is working the 280 into Oxford. Oxford revived the 280 route number when Arriva withdraw their Aylesbury-Oxford service in July 2024, which they had only recently renumbered X8! Going back a ew decades Oxford used to run the 280. The new 280 only operates between Thame and Oxford and after a few months was amalgamated with the Oxford Brookes and Park & Ride service and renumbered 400! In a slight to rival Redline the County Council electronic display only showed Oxford Bus times with no mention of the more frequent and quicker X20 service to Oxford.

GB Kite Electroliner 492, seen at SHOWBUS, was seen at work on Oxford High Street that day. Unlike the Streetdeck Electrliners above it has the original style front, not the London inspired low impact curved version of the doubedeckers.

Preceeding the bulk delivery of Electroliners, a batch of twenty in grey livery for the 400 Oxford Brookes and Park & Ride Electroliners were delivered. These too had the original non-London front ends. This is 709 (BJ73WWO) seen the same day at the Carfax on the 400.
