The Trent Motor Traction Company was formed in October 1913 in a joint venture which involved BET, under whose influence Trent was to remain until NBC control in 1969. Serving the area around its watery namesake, Trent was involved in both coach and bus operations and helped in the establishment of revolutionary new vehicles such as the Leyland Atlantean and National.
