Using a wide cross section of vehicles for various tasks and sizes of loads, BRS. is arguably the most significant name in Britain's road haulage history and below is Exclusive First Editions own collection of vehicles from this famous fleet. |

21603 Albion Ergo Rigid Flatbed. It would be fair to say that there was at least one example of every British, (and many foreign) truck manufacturer in the BRS fleet at one time. 22105 AEC Ergo Articulated Box Van BRITISH ROAD FERRY SERVICES. After denationalisation various divisions of British Road Services became operated as separate companies within the National Freight Company. The Continental Ferry Service Division, therefore, became British Road Ferry Services, operating as before but changing livery. AEC Ergomatic cab number 349 (MGY540D), pulls trailer 3082V26. 22202 BRS Bedford TK Twin Axle Articulated Tractor Unit. EC25 (NVP301G) represents the early seventies where the new style fleetname was carried proudly in white, this time on the roof. The Bedford TK pulls trailer TEB741 loaded with two large packing crates. A point of detail is that the tail of the trailer on the majority of BRS vehicles was painted white to aid loading as seen on this model. ISSUED OCTOBER 1996 |

22901 Bedford TK Box Van Short Wheelbase. BRS was divided into regional groups in 1969. Southern BRS adopted a bright orange and white livery as their identlty, which included the new corporate "arrows" logo on the cab doors. The second release of the modified AEC Mk III casting depicts British Road Services Lorry & Trailer number 42D107 (EVH23), from the Huddersfield Depot, carries a crated Chureh organ as a back load from Huddersfield to the docks for shipping to its final destination, Cape Town.
