A rich harvest of images was gathered over the summer on a tour from the midlands and north to Edinburgh and Glasgow, plus the Lake District. Only one Scottish picture featured on here so we are making amends with this early August image of one of Lothian Buses Alexander Dennis Enviro400XLB bodied 100 seat Volvo B8L doubledeckers, 1111 (SJ19OYO), which mimic the Enviro500 buses sold worldwide. The only other buses like this in the UK are those bought by Stagecoach East for use on the Cambridge Busway. It seems Lothian Buses having embraced local Scottish builder Alexander Dennis has now switch its allegiance to Egyptian MCV bodies, while sticking with imported Volvos for its electric buses.
