Just another Optare Solo SR. This one though is operating for the Moreland Bus subsidiary, South Coast Bus. It has just arrived at San Remo from Cowes. Cowes is on Phillip Island, around 90km south east of Melbourne. South Coast have two Solos, this one, 136 (BS00OQ) and sister 135 (BS00OR) which easily maintain the irregular service between their mainland base at Wonthaggi and Cowes and Ventnor on the island, famous for its penguin sanctuary. The service connects with the V-Line coach service from Melbourne. Optare has got off to a good start in Australia with small numbers available in each state.
