An unusual vehicle at Millennium Showbus was this Iveco in what was undoubtedly Oxford's once upon a time City Nipper colours - though the fleetname reads Village Nipper. The body is by Carlyle Works on Dormobile frames.

NIPPER |
Here one of Oxford's Nippers is seen in service in the city. These Transits were different from most NBC vehicles in being long wheel base 20-seaters rather than the standard sixteen. |

The Transits were supplemented a few years later by more sturdy MCW MetroRiders like 753 (E753VJO). It is seen on the Cowley Road with the Carfax Union Jack advert Bristol VR behind. Several MetroRiders survived the Nipper era. The Nipper livery helped to inspire Motts Yellow Bus colours and the original plans were for a lime green stripe above the blue skirt on the base yellow colours. |
