Posed alongside former United Counties VR 757 is RELH RDV419H in a livery worn in its latter days of service: NBC dual purpose colours. A far cry from the splendour of the scheme applied to the original Royal Blue REs. |
Royal Blue 2452 (SFJ152R) was amongst the first of a new order for the Royal Blue fleet. Contemporary to slightly more traditional Bristol RELHs, albeit with Plaxton coachwork, this Leyland Leopard was delivered in 1977 to Western National in full National Express livery, with Royal Blue fleetnames in small red letters near the front. The vehicle is seen on one of its first rally appearances at Millennium Showbus with fleet number plate on the grill, but yet to acquire fleetnames. |
Western National 2433 (LDV173P) was one of many vehicles drafted in to help the ailing Alder Valley fleet in early NBC days. This Plaxton Supreme bodied Leopard has had its Royal Blue fleetnames covered by Alder Valley Londonlink markings. |

Western National Royal Blue 2238 (XUO721) ended its days in Devon General NBC service bus livery and without its front grill. It is seen preserved in these colours at a rather wet Southsea Rally. |

Bedford OB/Duple LTA904, pictured earlier with in service RELH OTA631G, is seen at SHOWBUS 2002 with Southern National OB 1411 (LTA750). The OB is in the livery of Premier of Watford who have looked after the coach for many years.
