It is early in March 2016 and buses are parking up in the Ernest depot after the evening rush hour. In this line up the trio of yellow Bustech bodied buses are Volvo B7RLE 813 (813GQC), 809 (809GQC) and Mercedes O405 888 (888FKG). On the left in Translink livery is another Bustech O405, 872 (872FRW) and on the right, also in green, is Custom bodied Mercedes O405 685 (685DYG).

The only yellow bus in this view is 1997 Custom bodied Mercedes O405 689 (689DZY) whose livery was hidden under a wrap for Senior Holiday Travel. Alongside in Translink livery is Autobus bodied Mercedes O400 662 (662DOV) of 1996. Next in line is 2002 Bustech bodied Volvo B7RLE 810 (810GNM). Poking out of the shed is four year old Bustech XDi 344 (612SBW). Across the yard is Gold Coast Shuttle 2002 Mitsubishi Rosa 852 (822VCJ) ex Sunbus 1524 (206JJT) and Magnetic Island Bus Service 24.

Another depot line up featuring the green, yellow and orange liveries. Starting on the left, a pair 2002 of Bustech bodied Volvo B7RLE, Translink liveried 828 (828GTL) and yellow 838 (838GWF). Next up is 1998 Bustech bodied Mercedes O400 695 (695ESC) which is clearly having suspension problems. Finally we have Gold Coast Shuttle liveried 631 (631DZV), a 1997 Custom bodied Mercedes O405, relegated to school bus duties and since withdrawn.
